PML manufactures a full line of heavy duty centering rings and bulk plates to fit our airframe tubes and couplers. Most are available in both plywood and G-10.
"Centering Rings (CR)" fit inside our airframe tubing while "Coupler Centering Rings (CCR)" fit inside our coupler tubing.
"Bulkplates (BP)" fit inside our airframe tubing while "Coupler Bulkplates (CBP)" fit inside our coupler tubing.
"Piston Plates (PS)" fit inside of our coupler tubing and have a slot cut into the middle of the plate to accept a piston strap. All Piston Plates are 3/16” plywood.
Centering rings and bulk plates for airframes 3.9" and smaller are 3/16" birch plywood or G-10, while centering rings and bulk plates for airframes 6.0" and larger are 9-PLY 1/2" birch plywood.
CLUSTER CENTERING RINGS PML now offers a line of standard Cluster Centering Rings (CLCR) for 3.0” and 3.9” diameter Rockets. Cluster Centering Rings for 6.0”, 7.5”, and 11.4” are also available on a special order basis. Since there are literally hundreds of cluster combinations possible in these sizes, we cannot stock or even list all of the combinations. Turn-around time on the special order rings is usually 2 days. Use the Custom Centering Ring Form when ordering the large cluster rings.
On the 6.0” and 7.5” rings, the cluster holes are bored on a 4" diameter circle around the center hole. On the 11.4” ring, the cluster holes are bored on a 7.75” diameter circle around the center hole.
G-10 Centering Rings now available! All of our Centering Rings and Bulkplates for both airframes and couplers are now available in G-10. Better yet, you have the choice of 0.062, 0.093, and 0.125 inch thickness! The thinner G-10 rings are ideal for low impulse motors when used with motor mounts and are also great for custom electronic bays, etc. when weight is an issue. The thicker G-10 rings are perfect for high impulse motors and anything else you want to use them for. All standard sizes and ID/OD configurations of Centering Rings and Bulkplates are available up to 3.9" OD. Piston Plates not yet available in G-10.
