RockSim is a rocket design and simulation software package that allows you to build and test-fly rockets on your computer before you ever purchase a kit or begin cutting parts for a scratchbuild design. Both a free demo version and the full version of RockSim are available from Apogee Components at http://www.apogeerockets.com Rocksim *.RKT files for all Public Missiles Kits: Each Public Missiles kit for use in RockSim for flight simulations. You can either view details for the flights included with each of these RKT files, or you can fly them with different motors than what PML did to see their performance. NOTE: The flights that created most of the Motor Recommendations Chart on the Specs Page are included in these files. Requires RockSim 7.0 or higher to run everything in the PMLRKTS.ZIP file. Most files should run on RockSim 6.0, and a few (mostly 29mm only kits) may run on RockSim 4.0/5.0.

scratch building and customizing rockets using Public Missiles components.
You must install these component files to do any editing of the RKT files
above. NOTICE: all these files are already included in RockSim 5.0 and
higher; you do not need to download and install these files for RockSim 5.0 and
higher. Rocksim Tips and Tricks: Installation instructions in Adobe Acrobat format for ALLPMLRKTS.zip and PMLDATA.zip, as well as tips & tricks for working with PML components in RockSim.
ROCKSIM FILES AND CUSTOM PROJECTS: We welcome customers forwarding us RockSim files of their projects, as it sometimes helps us understand what you’re after. However, YOU STILL MUST PROVIDE US A DETAILED PARTS LIST OF WHAT YOU NEED, INCLUDING CUT LENGTHS, DIAMETERS, ETC. YOU MUST PROVIDE US WITH THE SAME LEVEL OF DETAIL AS IF YOU HAD NOT INCLUDED THE ROCKSIM FILE. We do not “decipher” RockSim files to determine exactly which parts it contains. Look at the RockSim file as a way to help us understand your parts list, not a way to produce your parts list and measurement data. Prefer to download them to your system and view them offline? Simple...right-click any of the links above and choose to save the link as a file. (You will still need Adobe Reader to read it offline.) |
